About Cath

Over 40 years of clinical experience, innovation and education

Cath is an HCPC-registered podiatrist with more than 40 years of clinical experience, with a career spanning NHS diabetic foot care and limb preservation, private practice, elite sport, advanced podiatric treatments, research and professional education.

She completed her Diploma in Chiropody/Podiatry at Durham School of Chiropody/Podiatry in 1984, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Practice from the University of Salford in 2001, and holds a City & Guilds Level 3 teaching qualification in adult education.

For more than 25 years, Cath worked as the official podiatrist to Wigan Athletic Football Club, including throughout eight seasons in the Premier League, alongside treating patients from all walks of life.

From Clinical Practice to International Education

Cath’s passion for advancing podiatric care has taken her far beyond the treatment room. She has taught, trained and spoken to healthcare professionals internationally, sharing the specialist techniques and treatment approaches she has developed throughout her career.

As the creator of Curacorn®, PODtox® and AcuV™, Cath has trained clinicians in advanced foot and lower-limb treatments and regularly shares her clinical experience through professional education, lectures, presentations and hands-on training.

Her work has also included international clinical research, including research at the Diabetic Foot Centre in Cairo investigating Curacorn® in high-risk patients with diabetes.

Today, Cath brings this combination of clinical experience, innovation, research and international education to FootXpert®, giving patients access to specialist treatments from the clinician who has spent years developing, refining and teaching them.
